My dear friends in China,

I believe everybody must be dissapointed after witness the draw ceremony for 2010 World Cup just now. I know a lot of people will say China has no hope to qualify for next round. Yes, to be in a group with the new Asian Cup Winner, new Asian Games Winner and World Cup top 16 team is indeed difficult， But I believe it is not the end of the world and I am confident China still has a big hope to qualify.

First of all, I have to say that no team in this group is clearly better than the other team which means the situation in this group will be very complicated to determine. Any team might make a mistake in this group and will still have chance to make it up. If China were in the group of Saudi Arabia, China cannot make any mistake 'cause the difference between strong and weak is too clear.

Second, Australia, as the seeded team in the group is not as strong as people think. We may take a look of their performance in Asian Cup this summer. Apparently they are not getting used to Asian football style. Yes they are strong but they are not unbeatable. Iraq is a team with fighting spirit but not with great technics and tactics. China played with Iraq 3 times in recent years and should know them very well. I believe China can find out the way how to beat them. I also know Qatar got some foreign players to join their team and change their traditional style a little bit. But seeing from their play in Asian Cup, they are still not up to the standard of China.

Finally, I say China will qualify because I know Chinese national team has the quality and I have the confidence with Chinese players. I know most of the players especially those who were with me in my time. They are good boys and has been working very hard to achieve thier goals. Now is the right moment for them to be ready for their dreams.

From my experience, just a few suggestion for China,

1. Make a good start. The first match against Iraq is very important and a draw for me will be acceptable. never never loose this match otherwise it will be a disaster.

2. try to get as much points as possible at home. The 3 home matches will be decisive should China wish to qualify.

3. be united together. remember only when you play as a team, you may achieve your goals. Football is a team sport to show team spirit and please just do it.

我相信很多人在看了刚刚结束的2010年世界杯抽签仪式后都会有些失望，都会认为中国队世界杯出线无望了。是的，和新科亚洲杯冠军，亚运会冠军及世界杯十六强球队分在一起是很困难的一个小组，但是我相信这并不是世界末日，中国仍然有很大的机会出线。

首先，这个小组的任何一支队都没有完全压倒其他队的实力，这将导致这个小组比赛的形势非常复杂很难判断。这个小组中的任何一支队都有可能会犯错误，但是又都会有机会去弥补犯的错误。如果中国队是分在现在沙特的那个小组，那么中国队将不能犯任何错误因为那个小组的队伍强弱过于分明。

其次，这个小组的种子队澳大利亚队并没有人们想象的那么强大。让我们看看他们在今年夏天亚洲杯上的表现，他们明显不适应亚洲足球的风格。他们是很强大，但并不是不可以击败的。伊拉克队是一只充满斗志的球队，但是真正的技战术并不是那么完美。中国队近年来已经和伊拉克队有过3次交锋，应该已经十分了解伊拉克队的打法并能找出击败他们的方法。我也知道卡塔尔队召入了一些外国球员并改变了一些风格，但是从他们亚洲杯上的表现来看，他们还没有达到中国队的高度。

最后，我说中国队能出线因为我相信中国队有实力能出线，同时我对中国球员也充满信心。我知道目前国家队大部分队员还都是我带过的那支国家队的队员，他们都是很好的小伙子并且一直在为着自己的理想而努力。现在是他们做好实现自己梦想的时刻了。

从我以往的经验来看，给中国队几点建议：

1. 打好开局。第一场客场对伊拉克的比赛是非常重要的，我认为打平是可以接受的结果。千万千万不要输掉第一场，否则会是一个灾难。

2. 尽量在主场多拿分。中国队能否出线将主要取决于3个主场的比赛。

3. 团结一致。只有团结起来去踢球才能实现自己的目标。足球就是一项集体运动，展示的是团队精神，去展示团结吧。
